Welcome to my very first blog post on my world of jewellery (all things colourful and sparkly)
It's Me, Hi!
If you don't already know me or recognize me, my name is Jill. Owner, designer and maker of Bijoux by Jill, handcrafted jewellery, and lover of all things colourful and sparkly.
I'm a lifetime lover of fashion and can recall sketching outfits and jewellery as a young girl and lining up my outfits for the week ahead as young as 10 years of age. My family thought I was nuts I'm sure, but I've always loved fashion for the form of self expression it is.
My business is one woman owned and run, based out of my home in Burlington, Canada. I'm native to this area although my family and I spent 10 years living abroad in Hong Kong. There I gained a more worldly perspective on all things fashion and culture and for that time I am so grateful.
How it started
I began my business as a product of the pandemic crafting with my two daughters. They quickly tired of making precious trinkets while I fell more and more in love with creating magic! Bijoux by Jill will be celebrating its second birthday this November which I'm so excited and proud of!
How it's going
These days you can find me at my work bench creating everyday luxe jewellery. I love to incorporate colourful gemstones with gold and silver. I am a small batch jeweller making mostly one of a kind heirloom items.
You can find me year round at various local markets, as well in some brick and mortar shops.

I'm on IG and FB social media platforms as well and if I'm not making jewellery, you will find me tending to these various extensions of my business.
